This Symposium will continue the series of EXON meetings previously held in Irkutsk (on the Baikal Lake),
Peterhof (St.Petersburg), Khanty-Mansiysk (west Siberia), Sochi (on the Black Sea) and Vladivostok (on the
Golden Horn Bay). It takes place every two years in the
most exotic places of Russia. The EXON-2014 will be held on 8 - 13 September 2014 in Kaliningrad
( formerly called Königsberg), Russia, located at the mouth of the navigable
Pregolya River, which empties into
the Vistula Lagoon, an inlet of the
Baltic Sea.
The Symposium will be devoted to the investigation of nuclei in extreme states and, in particular,
at the limits of nuclear stability (from very light neutron- and proton-rich up to superheavy nuclei).

- Superheavy elements. Synthesis and properties
- Rare processes and decays
- Radioactive beams. Production and research programmes
- Experimental set-ups and future projects
The preliminary list of the Symposium Scientific Programme will be soon compiled on the basis of the
received Abstracts and published on the EXON2014 web-page. So we are ready to accept your abstracts up to 30 April, 2014.
It will include oral talks and a poster session.
Abstracts
The MS WORD or PDF typewritten format of the abstracts are preferable.
The abstracts should not exceed 1 page and must be sent in the camera-ready form (17 cm x 25.5 cm).
The list of registered participants (speakers) will be available
on the site of the Symposium. If you have any questions concerning
the Scientific Programme please addresses them to the Organizing
Committee. The Scientific programme will be finally completed by
15 May, 2014; after that all the speakers will receive personal invitations.
Visa information
Official letters of invitation will be sent to the participants of the Symposium as
well as to their accompanying persons after their personal data submitted to the Organizing Committee.

time before or after the Symposium for sightseeing should inform the Organizing Committee so that we could book the hotel for

Transport
To maximize the benefit of your full participation in the conference please plan to
arrive in Kaliningrad by the 7th of September and stay there at least till the 13th of September.

Traditionally for EXON, the Organizing Committee arranges delivery of all the participants from/to the Kaliningrad

well before hand on the date of your arrival/departure and your flight number. On 13 September (end of Symposium) all
the participants will be delivered back to the airport.
Accomodation
Please note that you will be responsible for the payment of all of your travel expenses (airfare, hotel, meals,
meeting registration fee, etc.) The conference fee (including the book of information materials, coffee breaks,
welcome reception, banquet, social program and airport-hotel-airport transportation) is 350 Euro for the participants
and 150 Euro for the accompanying persons. The registration fee will be accepted by transfer (more acceptable) or in cash (ˆ)
at the registration desk. The conference fee does not include the accommodation. We have reserved a number of rooms
in the hotels of Zelenogradsk city. These hotels are situated directly on the beach of the Baltic Sea, about 500 meters
away from the centre on Zelenogradsk city center. Zelenogradsk is located about 20 km from Kaliningrad and 15 km from
Kaliningrad airport “Khrabrovo”. Zelenogradsk is located within a 10 minutes drive from the unique
sanctuary 'the Curonian spit', where you can get acquainted with an amazing world of harmony and contrasts
and where a spe-cial microclimate makes it possible for the relict plants to grow, some of them have been entered into
the Red Book.

Young physicists and post-docs are especially encouraged to attend. Partial financial support will be available
for young physicists. The candidates for the financial support will be selected by the Organizing Committee
from the participants less than 35 years of age, on the basis of a competition of their abstracts.

Other information
The weather is generally very fine in Kaliningrad in September - October. Autumn comes in September and is at
first warm and usually sunny, turning cold, damp and foggy only in November. The Organizing Committee is
planning several events for ladies, which will include visits to the museums, exhibitions and concerts.
Kaliningrad has many museums. A few examples are the
Immanuel Kant
museum on the Kneiphof island, the Regional Museum of History and Arts,
which has parts of Königsberg Castle's Prussia Museum of local archaeological findings, and the
Kaliningrad Amber Museum,
which is situated in the Dohna
Tower near the Rossgarten Gate. The city also has an art gallery with eight exhibition rooms. Further information
